Planner Sticker Organization

So as I showed in my previous post I bought a lot of stickers. I have since bought more. I needed a way to see them easily so I don’t doubt buy. I found the perfect set up inexpensively at Wal-mart. I purchased a small binder such as this one.

010

I then purchased plastic inserts to put in it that fit.

012

And here they are inserted and what they look like on the inside.

011

And of course with the stickers in them.

013

I find this to be perfect for my needs and it holds three packs of fifteen protectors easily. The binder was around 2.88 and each pack of protects was around 2.47. Not much investment to keep my stickers nice and organized. Do you have a way you organize your stickers? If so please share below.

Planner Sticker Haul

So if you saw my Erin Condren haul you may know that you have to have stickers to go with the planner. It is a thing! lol. I have a few shops to show you as I had no stickers and wanted to get some to have options. I purchased all these myself except one company sent me a couple sheets for free for comparison and I will identify this shop.

First thing that came in the mail was the Oh Hello Stationery CO Monthly subscription kit. The theme was cacti. I got all that was in the pictures below plus an enamel pin that my son took for his backpack. All my Oh Hello Stationery Co stickers were printed in glossy paper.

oh-hello-monthly-cactus

A one month kit is 19.97 but you can get a better deal if you auto renew for a few months at a time. April theme is farm animals. It looks cute but I don’t plan on getting it. I plan on doing it month to month depending on the theme that is featured and my likes.

I also had put in a large order from them as I wanted their planner case for my EC planner. Here is my loot. 🙂

I was able to use a ten percent off code and got free shipping because of the amount I spent. Since this is a sticker haul I didn’t include the planner case but I can show it if anyone is interested. Just let me know. The price ranges are 19.99 for the kits to 2.85 for the blobby designs they create and the prices vary in between for everything else. I emailed them a few times and the customer service has been nice every time. They have a rewards system and I already cased in some rewards and have a kit at a discount on it’s way.

The rest of the shops were off of Etsy. Which is very addicting!! I started with a grab bag from Birds Fly Studios. I ordered a grab bag of 20.00 for 25 sheets. You don’t get to pick your sheets but they are not oops stickers instead they are recently reformulated style of stickers and the owner is downsizing her inventory. She did send me two sheets of her new format so I can show you  the difference. I thought this was great customer service as I didn’t ask I just inquired on the difference so I could describe it in my blog. The top picture is the new format which has the names of the stickers on a border at the top. All her stickers were on matte paper. Looking through her shop her items are from 4.50 to 17.00 depending on if you get a kit or not.

I also emailed her about the order as it appeared to get lost in the mail and her customer service was awesome. I have already ordered again. And honestly have another few items favored.

I ordered another grab bag. This one was from the etsy shop created by danielle1 It was only five dollars and I got a great amount of stickers. I did learn that even though they are an awesome deal, you often do not get stickers you will use a lot or want. Anyway here is what I received from Danielle.

I love the fourth of July full sticker sheet and can’t wait to use it up! I had to feature it.

Lastly, I ordered from Plan With Peggy Spoiler alert I loved her kits and they are extremely affordable! I picked up two full kits for 11.50 dollars. They are beautiful glossy paper also.

019020021

You get five sheets for 11.50! I just had to say it again. I can’t wait to use the Easter one. I like that it is a on the subtle side in my opinion. I do plan on ordering from her again. Oh and she wrote a personal note. I thought that was an awesome touch.

Are you a planner person? Do you do the full glam planner? If so is there any shops I need to check out… leave a comment below if so.

Ha Ha Tonka State Park

Last week I went to a state park in Missouri. It was a beautiful day but the pictures don’t do it justice since it was February and everything was brown. I am posting about it anyway as it has a unique history and if you ever get a chance you should check it out.

Per the website Mo State Parks “Robert M. Snyder, a wealthy Kansas City businessman, first visited the site in 1903 and was so impressed that he eventually purchased more than 5,000 acres. He envisioned a private retreat with a European-style castle, with a center atrium rising three and one-half stories to a skylight. Snyder also planned an 80-foot-high water tower, greenhouses and a carriage house. Construction began in 1905 only to be halted a year later with the untimely death of Snyder in one of the state’s first automobile accidents. Snyder’s sons finished building their father’s dream, though not quite as elaborately as originally planned. Eventually, the property was leased for use as a hotel, until tragedy struck in 1942. The entire interior was gutted by fire when sparks from a chimney ignited the roof. The carriage house burned the same day and in 1976, the water tower was burned by vandals. Today only ruins remain.”

I did not go to the Castle area this day but I will visit it when things are green and take photos to share with you all. I did go to the Natural Spring which is beautiful in of itself. Here are the photos from that day.

Do you go on nature walks? What is the most beautiful place you have been? Please share in the comments.

Erin Condren Haul

Hello,

I ordered an Erin Condren Life Planner from erincondren.com THey are currently having a sale on their 2017 planner and they are thirty percent off. I went with the Sugar Skull cover with my name on it.

005

It comes with a pen pouch that you can add with a coil clip or leave out. I think I will leave mine out. It came with some misc goodies as well.

016

I also got the bag to coordinate. It is made of canvas and retails for 25.00. It is really good quality and size.

004

I purchased a couple of dashboards. One for finances and one for meal planning.

ec-dashboards

I also picked up some stickers. The sticker book that is edition two and the functional stickers.

ec-stickers

I purchased two additional items the bands to go around the planner and some bookmarks.

Lastly, I wanted the sugar skull tumbler but it was sold out so I got me the hearts one. They are twenty dollars. I didn’t think that was too bad for a tumbler with my name on it.

010

Have you ever bought anything from Erin Condren ? If so please share below what you ordered and if you liked it.

Also if you’d like to see it on a video… Here is the haul being shown on youtube. It is a bit shaky as I couldn’t get the tripod to work as I wanted to but you can check it out if you wish. 🙂

I do have a referral link where you can get ten dollars off your first order. If you use it I will get ten dollars as well. I’d appreciate it if you did use it but I also understand if you don’t feel comfortable with that. Otherwise I purchased this all with my own money and my opinions are my own. Thanks!

2017 Goals

goal-setting-photo

I know it’s way past New Years and resolution times but I thought I would take a moment to write down my goals for 2017.

  1. To become financially prepared. What I mean by that is I plan ahead for family vacations and bills. I usually live pay check to pay check. This year I would like to start a savings for things I want to do.
  2. To become more organized. I have purchased two planners to make this happen. One for my life and one for my work. I wanted to keep the life one as a keepsake and didn’t want to put daily appointments in it so I plan on having two. I want to track water intake, finances, to do lists, you name it I want to plan it.
  3. To live a life more fulfilled. Last year was not a good year. I want this one to be improved and the only way I am going to make it happen is if I go after it. I have to be proactive and I have already made some choices in that direction.
  4. Lastly, I want to find me again. I have lost myself in work and being a mom that I don’t know who I am at my core. I miss the old me and though I don’t want to be her as I like being wiser some parts of her I would like to get back and infuse with who I am now. I hope that made sense lol

What are your goals for 2017? Please share them with me as I would like to know and interact with all of you.

Walmart Mini Haul

I went to Walmart today and picked up a few things. I wanted to try the True Match Lumi Health Luminous Makeup. It is suppose to be a dupe for the Armani Luminous Silk. I haven’t tried either but after trying the very matte Wet n Wild Photo Ready foundation I thought it would be nice to have a dewy finish foundation. I got it in W3 which ended up being too dark for my winter color. I will have to take it back. I still wanted to share it with you and show the color and finish.

The website describes it as…

“Medium coverage. Skin-improving. Luminous finish.

Finally, makeup that creates skin so healthy – it’s luminous! True Match™ Lumi Healthy Luminous Makeup combines 3 powerful ingredients that work to improve your complexion the more you wear them. 40% pure water for all-day hydration. Antioxidants and Vitamins C and E for improved clarity and skin tone. And Liquid Light Technology for an instant, luminous glow. Isn’t it time you met your match?

See the Results:
Instantly: skins illuminated.
In 1 Month: skin is clearer, healthier, more luminous

Finish: Luminous
SPF: 20
Coverage: Lightweight, buildable coverage that lasts up to 8 hours
Skin Type: For all skin types. Safe for sensitive skin.

Available in 15 true-to-skin shades in warms, neutrals, and cools.”

I liked the finish on me but like I said the color was off. It applied easily and left a luminous finish. I will have a picture below with me wearing it with no powder. It was a first impression so I can’t attest to the longevity of the foundation.

Next I bought L’Oreal Infallible Never Fail Silky Eyeliner in Plum/Prune. It is creamy and the color was very pigmented. When I used it in the picture below it did seem to skip on my eyes. I will need to play with it some more as it could have been user error. It does smudge for a smoky look then not budge once set.

The website describes it as smudge proof with sixteen hour wear. It comes in six shades. I was not wow’d by this and won’t buy another one.

Next I bought two Real Technique sponges. I have a Beauty Blender that I am not actually fond of but I LOVED using the real technique sponge. I felt it really helped the makeup glide on seemlessly and effortlessly. I will totally repurchase this. I plan on doing a comparison post so look forward to that. 🙂

001

Lastly, I needed to purchase my favorite cleanser I was out of. Neutrogena Deep Clean Cream Cleanser. I swear by this for removing makeup. I use this to remove it then a different cleanser to double clean the face. It is just how I do it. I plan on doing a skin care routine post in the future as well. It is non greasy and non irritating.

010

Here is a picture of the eyeliner and the foundation with a little concealer, eyeshadow, lipstick, and blush on. I did not powder the foundation as I wanted you to see the finish.

012

As you can see the eyeliner is very vibrant and a beautiful purple color while the foundation is a nice finish (I think anyway) it doesn’t match my neck. I will be getting it in a lighter shade and maybe a more neutral undertone. That is the problem with buying at the drugstore you have to guess what shade you are. Thankfully here in the US with your receipt you can return or exchange it.

Have you tried any of these products do you like them? Do you have any thoughts on the foundation or what I should try next?

Wet N Wild Haul

I recently put in an order in at the wet n wild cosmetics website. There is free shipping for purchasing 35.00 in the US. I purchased a couple of makeup items and mostly their brushes which are very inexpensive but of good quality. I purchased these items myself and the opinions in this review and haul are of my own.

I’ll start with the new foundation Photo Focus Foundation. The website describes it as… “Your skin, only better. Our new high-performing, skin-perfecting foundation underwent major road testing under seven different photo lighting conditions to deliver flawless camera-ready makeup every time. Specially made with a matte, light-diffusing complex to give your skin #nofilter perfection.

  • High-performing, breakthrough formula
  • Featuring light-adjusting complex to help prevent white cast in photos
  • Tested under 7 light conditions with and without the use of flash”

– See more at: Here It retails for 5.99

wnw-foundation

I purchased Soft Ivory which the bottle said is a light warm shade and Soft Beige which the bottle says is a light-medium warm shade. then there is the colors on my skin and then blended out. Soft Ivory looks like a good match blended out but in the photo I share soon you can tell it sort of washes me out a bit. I ended up mixing the two which I feel is a better color match for me. It is a very matte finish and I didn’t need to powder with it. You can get up to a medium coverage without it looking cakey.

I also got the new highlighter. It’s called the MegaCusion Highlight. THe website states… “Once you try cushion, you will never go back! This soft and bouncy cushion compact is a dream to use. Build your own coverage with the no mess, no-fuss application. The Mega Cushion Highlight, lets you light up your best features exactly how you want, with the added bonus of a fresh and dewy finish.” – See more at: here It retails for 5.99

wnw-highlighter

It’s a soft sheen that gives a natural look without being glittery at all. I do think if you powder over it with regular powder you lose the sheen quickly.

The rest of the order was brushes. I am obsessed with brushes and I have all different brands. I have a couple wet n wild brand and they are good quality and have a good grip.

wnw-brush-setwnw-brushes

The first picture is of the ten dollar set and the website describes them as… “Wet n Wild’s cruelty-free brush set is perfect for applying your favorite cosmetics with style. Set includes six of our high-quality brushes for the eyes, cheeks, and complexion. SET INCLUDES: (1) Angled Liner Brush, (1) Crease Brush, (1) Small Eyeshadow Brush, (1) Large Concealer Brush, (1) Foundation Brush (1) Blush Brush” – See more at: here

I also purchased five crease brushes, two smoky liner brushes, and two angled liner brushes. They retail for 99 cents a piece. The angled liner and smoky liner are perfect. The crease brush is good but a little on the loose side.

Wet n Wild also had a special running where you got a mystery gift worth fifteen dollars. It was a holiday kit.

Here is a break down of the products individually.

019

So on to what the products look like on the face. The first picture is makeup less. Then with the Soft Ivory and the au natural palette on the eyes and one of the lipsticks then my makeup today where I mixed the two shades together. Which shade do you think looks better?

wnw-face

Here is an up close of how my pores look with the foundation. I have large pores and it looks flawless I feel. What do you think?

Have you used any wet n wild products recently if so please share a comment or link in my comments. I’d love to check them out. Have a Blessed Day.

Milk Cosmetics/Sephora Goodies

I put in a small order into Sephora. I bought these items with my own money and this review is my own thoughts. First off is the item I purchased to get to free shipping. Don’t you hate it when your only three dollars away and you don’t have anything else you super want or at least nothing that is in stock or fits your budget 🙂

I picked up a Sephora Collection Wonderful Cushion Matte Lip Cream. It comes in three shades: Wonderful Magenta, Wonderful Purple, Wonderful Red. I went with the Wonderful Magenta. Here are the pictures.

matte-cushion

I love the color BUT I am forty years old and I am just not sure I can pull it off. I am all down for make up is art and do what you want but I don’t think I would feel comfortable wearing this bright of a color. The formula appeared nice and not too drying. I didn’t put it on my lips though. Even thought it was only five dollars on sale I think I will return it.

Next I purchased Milk cosmetics. I purchased the Milk Makeup Vibes Vibes Vibes kit. It consists of: A free sample of their skin tint foundation…
– 0.11 oz/ 3.11 g Lip + Cheek
– 0.21 oz/ 5.95 g Cooling Water
– 0.23 oz/ 6.5 g Matte Bronzer
– 0.22 oz/ 6.23 g Mini Blur Stick

milk-minis

The Bronzer is a little on the orange side and the cheek lip tint is a pretty flush color. The blurring stick doesn’t leave a color though it has a tint and the cooling stick is refreshing.

The kit retails for 48.00 dollars. This makes each item twelve dollars plus the bag. I am not sure it is worth it unless you want to try out all the products like I did.

I also got some free samples. Sephora is really great at letting you pick what samples you wanted and I kept with the Milk theme plus two more.

020.JPG

I did go ahead and swatch all the colors of the foundation.

I felt the samples blended out beautifully. As soon in this picture below. This is the three lightest shades blended together and leaving a dewy hydrated look.

027

Here is a before and after of having the foundation on. The samples are small so I mixed the three lightest shades to get enough product.

milk-tint

As you can see it cancelled out most of the redness but didn’t the pimple I have. It worked well on my dark spots though and gave me an even dewy look to the skin. It retails for 42.00 and you get .7 oz.

That is all for my Sephora Goody… Milk Cosmetics haul. I will play around some more with the Milk products and hopefully tell you how they work and if I feel they are worth getting for the full sizes. Have you tried Milk Makeup and if so did you enjoy it?

Feather River Body Review

I recently purchased from Etsy a setting powder for makeup and two eye shadows from Feather River Body. The shipping was super fast and there is a discount code in the company description for first time buyers.

products-etsy

The setting powder is suppose to be high definition. The store describes it as …

“Our invisible setting powder sets your foundation beautifully without adding any color. Packed full of skin loving ingredients like silk, pearls and allatoin to help soothe and restore your skin. Silica helps to blur your pores so you have the airbrushes / photo shopped look in person!

Our setting powders come in a 30 gram sifter jar filled to the brim with product.

Silica, Silk Powder, Pearl Powder and Allatoin.”

I agree it is super soft and melts away to nothing on the skin but sets your makeup. I do not find a white cast with this powder at all.

hd-powder

The powder is on the left and blended on the right.

It cost 12.00 and was in fact filled to the brim with an easy to use sifter.

The two eyeshadows I chose were Taffy and Queen of Hearts and are listed as pressed pigments. I agree they are very pigmented yet smooth.

The site states…

“These eye shadows work BEST when used over a primer and when applied with either your finger or a wet brush. This is not to say they don’t work great with a dry brush because they do, they just will be more vibrant if you apply them with a wet brush or your finger.

This eye shadow is sold pressed in a 26mm pan which holds approximately 1.8 grams of product. These are sold individually so they can easily be placed into a z palette for easy palette customization.”

It also warns that they are made of oil so may be a problem for oily lids. I thought that was great and honest reporting.

These are sold for 6.00 a piece.

008

Queen of Hearts is on the top and listed as a red with a hint of burgundy. Taffy is on the bottom and is described as peach. I found it to be more of a cotton candy color. I let the owner know and she said she would correct the website. I have looked for it just now and it is not listed so she might be doing just that. She also asked if I wanted to return the product for a refund. I told her the shadow is still creamy and beautiful and I would rather keep it.

color-on-eyes

Here is the colors on the eyes with MAC’s soft brown in the crease. The right side is with Urban Decay Primer potion and the left is with NYX white primer. They worked better over the Urban Decay in my opinion but it could have been the primer not the shadows.

All in all what do you think? When I am in the market for some new shades of eyeshadow or setting powder I will use this indie brand again.
